Old German Letters
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I have been entrusted by a museum official with a small collection of German family letters dated between 1900 and 1950. Some passages appear in Fraktur, others slip into Sütterlin or even Kurrent, so I need someone who can confidently read all three scripts and render them into clear, idiomatic English.
The content is largely biographical—no special themes or historical sidebars—yet accuracy matters because these translations will become part of a permanent family record. Please deliver a clean English text for each letter; including a line-by-line transcription of the German is welcome if you routinely provide it, but not required.
If you have proven experience deciphering early-20th-century German handwriting and typefaces, I’d love to see a brief sample of past work. Once we start, I will share high-resolution scans and agree on milestones so we can review the first few pages together before you proceed with the rest.
