Multilingual Document & AV Transcription
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have an ongoing need to turn a mix of written documents, audio tracks and video recordings into clean, well-formatted text. Most of the source material circulates in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, but other languages may surface as new assignments come in.
Here is what matters to me: every transcript must mirror the original content faithfully, preserve speaker changes or section headings when relevant, and come back proof-read so I can paste it straight into reports, training decks or subtitles without extra polishing. Turnaround time is important, yet accuracy always takes priority; I would rather wait a few extra hours than fix a rush job later.
You’ll receive clear instructions with each file—file length, purpose of the transcript (legal, academic, captioning, etc.), any template I need you to follow and whether timestamps or verbatim markers are required. In return I expect:
• A final text or subtitle file in the requested format (DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT or plain TXT)
• Consistent spelling conventions and punctuation that match the language of the source
• Confidential handling of all materials
If you have solid experience with multilingual transcription tools such as Express Scribe, Trint, Otter, or similar—and, of course, the linguistic skill to spot AI mishears—I’m keen to send over the first batch right away. Let me know which languages you handle confidently, the average turnaround you can promise per audio hour or per page, and any specialty domains you’re strong in (medical, legal, technical).
