Middle-School PDF Ebook Editing
Budget: $5 – $15 USD
I have a 50-page middle-school Ebook that currently exists only as a PDF. It needs a careful pass for grammar and spelling, plus a refresh of its formatting and overall layout. There is no preset style guide, so you may exercise creative discretion—as long as the final result stays clear, age-appropriate, and visually consistent from cover to conclusion.
The job begins with opening or converting the PDF into a fully editable environment (Adobe Acrobat Pro, InDesign, or Word—use whichever workflow keeps text integrity intact). From there, I expect:
• Clean, error-free text: correct punctuation, capitalization, verb tense, and spelling throughout.
• Polished layout: uniform fonts and heading hierarchy, balanced margins, proper page numbers, and image or illustration alignment that looks good on tablets and standard e-readers.
• Final deliverables: the updated, unlocked source file (Word, IDML, or similar) and a press-ready PDF.
A brief note on tone: the language should remain engaging and accessible for students aged roughly 11-14, free of jargon, and without altering the educational intent of any exercises or examples.
Once you finish, I’ll do a quick read-through and verify that every edit request has been addressed; if anything slips through, one revision round is included in the scope.
