Manuscript Reader (Romance)

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Manuscript Reader to join our team. As a Manuscript Reader, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and providing constructive feedback on manuscripts, particularly in the romance genre. Your extensive experience as a reader in these genres will be essential in analyzing the strengths and areas for improvement within the manuscripts.

Responsibilities:

- Thoroughly and efficiently read manuscripts within the specified timeframe.
- Provide a basic analysis of the manuscript, highlighting its strengths and identifying areas that require further support.
- Provide in-line comments on the manuscript using Word document tools, reflecting your impressions as a reader.
- Create a summary sheet for each manuscript offering insights on character development, plot, and tropes.
- Provide suggestions and recommendations on how to address any aspects of the manuscript that do not resonate with you as a reader, outlining potential improvements.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling authors' work.

Compensation: The rate is $10 per book. I have more than 10 books that need this service.

This position does not involve professional editing but requires a deep understanding of the romance genre conventions and reader preferences.
