French Video & Caption Proofreading
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a French-language video that runs just under an hour and I need a sharp set of eyes and ears to give every element a final polish. The raw footage, its accompanying audio track, and the existing caption file are already produced; what I’m looking for now is a detailed proofreading pass that tightens language, corrects timing, and confirms that every subtitle conveys the intended meaning.
The brief is simple:
• Work through the complete 30-60 minute video, listening for mispronunciations or wording slips and correcting grammar and spelling in the dialogue transcript.
• Check the captions (.srt) against the spoken track to catch any synchronization drifts, overlapping lines, or missing entries.
• Verify translation accuracy wherever the wording may feel off, updating phrasing so the French reads naturally while retaining the source intent.
Deliverables
1. A clean, corrected caption file returned in the same format (.srt or .vtt).
2. A short change log highlighting every modification so I can track what was fixed and where.
3. If you spot any audio sections that require re-recording, timestamp notes so I can address them quickly.
You are welcome to use your preferred subtitle editor—Aegisub, Subtitle Workshop, Adobe Premiere’s caption panel, or similar—as long as the final file aligns perfectly with the existing timecode. Accuracy and a native-level command of French are the priority; once I receive the updated captions and notes, I’ll run a quick spot-check and sign off right away if everything flows.
