Finalize Alphabetical Book Index

I have a completed manuscript in PDF and an existing list of index terms. Every term is confirmed—I simply need the correct page numbers assigned so the finished index is ready for print. The terms are already arranged in strict A-to-Z order; no thematic or chapter grouping is required.
You will work from the PDF I provide, locate each term, and record every page on which it appears. Return the completed index to me in either Word or Excel (whichever you prefer) so I can drop it straight into layout. Accuracy is critical: double-check for spelling consistency, catch plural or singular variants, and note multiple appearances of the same term.
If you regularly build back-of-book indexes and are comfortable navigating large PDFs with tools like Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, or dedicated indexing software, this should be a straightforward task. I’m happy to answer any clarifying questions before you begin and will review the file promptly on delivery so we can wrap up quickly.
