Fiction Book Typesetting QC -- 2

I have just completed the layout for a fiction book and need a meticulous review of the typesetting before it goes to print and e-book conversion. The file is already set up; what I need now is a fresh, detail-oriented pass that tests every page for common layout slips—margins, running headers, page numbering, widows and orphans, scene breaks, quotation styling, and any stray formatting artifacts that slipped through InDesign.

Here’s how I picture the collaboration:

• You download the current PDF (and the packaged InDesign file if you want to open layers and styles).
• Work through the manuscript, marking any issues directly in the PDF or in a clean, chapter-indexed spreadsheet—whatever is faster for you.
• Flag anything that would distract a reader or raise flags at a print-on-demand service: inconsistent fonts, uneven line spacing, awkward hyphenation, table of contents links, etc.

Once your audit is done, send the annotated file back to me. If you prefer, you can also include a short summary of recurring problems so I can fix master pages and styles in one shot. My goal is to turn around any corrections within 48 hours, so please keep your notes clear and actionable.
