Editing and Proofreading

I have an academic paper (4000 words) that needs to be edited and proofread. Reviewers found the current text to be "mechanical in tone" and "wooden in places." Edits need to "improve the reader's experience." Please do not bid unless English is your native language and you have done this type of work before.
