In a world dominated by nanotechnology, where there are flying cars, mercenaries, androids and artificial intelligence, some cities have been divided vertically, with the supremacy of the powerful living above, the exploitation of the working class living in the Middle and the marginalisation of those taking refuge in the Underworld. Akiko, a renowned medical researcher from London, lives her lonely days after losing her beloved one. But, one day, she is surprised by a posthumous letter sent by Maia, inviting her to embark on a journey to see her world, promising her the answers she so wanted. So, although fearful, Akiko accepts the invitation and leaves her comfortable life at the Top to relive the memories of her interrupted relationship, reopening wounds in her heart. Meanwhile, she would begin to question the world in which she lives.

My name is Mirella, I'm 23 years old and I'm Brazilian (so yea, I'm not an English native speaker).
I undertook the writing of this book after noticing a lack of stories in which LGBTQ+ characters, women and other minorities aren’t normalise. For example, I was a little tired of seeing stories among LGBTQ+ in which there is a “prohibition”, or women who need to assert their position of power. Despite seeing more LGBTQI + content, I saw that most were more focused on gays, so I wanted to write a story that normalises sexuality, diversity and minority power positions.
