Chicago Style Reference Editor for Nonfiction Book (Bibliography & Footnotes)

Description:
I’m looking for an experienced editor to review and professionally format all references for my nonfiction book manuscript, ensuring they meet the highest academic standards using the Chicago Manual of Style (17th Edition – Notes and Bibliography)

The reference list has been compiled manually and includes approximately 100–120 sources. The goal is to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting across all citation types.

Scope of Work:
- Review and correct approximately 100–120 references
- Ensure adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style (17th Edition – Notes and Bibliography)
- Format a variety of source types, including:
- Web sources
- Government and organizational reports
- Books
- News articles
- Interviews
- Remove duplicate entries and check for missing or inconsistent information
- Add 16 podcast interviews as formal references
- Add one academic book (published in 2019 by the author)
- Perform final proofreading of all references for consistency and quality

Deliverables:
- A clean, fully formatted reference list (in Word)
- A separate bibliography, if required
- Notes or suggestions on any unclear or unverifiable entries

Requirements:
- Proven experience with Chicago Manual of Style (17th Edition – Notes and Bibliography)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Academic or publishing background preferred
- Ability to deliver clean and publication-ready formatting in Microsoft Word
