Stipop — AI Character Designer & Image Creator (Freelance, Japan)

Stipop is a global AI character chat app focused on anime, manga, and light-novel style characters.
We are expanding in Japan and are looking for a Japan-based Freelance AI Character Designer to help create and manage our characters.

This role is for someone who enjoys designing characters, generating AI images, and shaping how characters appear and feel inside an AI chat service.

Position
AI Character Designer & Image Creator (Freelance, Japan)


Responsibilities
- Create AI-generated character images (anime style, illustration, semi-realistic styles, etc.)
- Design character concepts, personalities, and visual direction
- Write and manage AI prompts for characters
- Curate and organize character lineups inside the app
- Create and publish character-related content for marketing channels (social media, community posts, etc.)

Note: All content for marketing and public channels must be safe-for-work.
18+ or adult content is handled internally and will NOT be part of this role.


Requirements
- Experience using AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Leonardo, PixAI, etc.)
- Strong interest in anime, manga, light novels, and character-driven content
- Must be based in Japan
- Ability to communicate professionally in English or Korean


Nice to Have
- Experience with character design or illustration
- Experience with prompt engineering
- Experience working with AI chatbots or character AI platforms


Work Style
- Freelance / contractor
- Fully remote
- Long-term collaboration preferred


Compensation
Negotiable

Rates will be discussed based on experience, availability, and scope of work.
Monthly or project-based contracts are both possible.
