You'll work directly with our product & AI team and shape the voice of our AI in Telugu or Kannada.

This is where you come in. We are seeking a talented and passionate Prompt Engineering Intern to become the linguistic soul of our AI for the Telugu and Kannada-speaking world. You will not be a peripheral part of the team; you will be solving the critical "last-mile" challenge that I, as a non-native speaker, cannot. Your work will directly shape the user experience and success of our platform in these key markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, test, and meticulously refine prompts for our LLM-based voice agents to ensure conversations in Telugu or/and Kannada are fluid, natural, and context-aware.
Focus on capturing the nuances of conversational, colloquial, and rural dialects, moving beyond literal translations to achieve true authenticity.
Analyze conversation logs to identify patterns, pinpoint prompt failures, and iteratively improve the AI's performance and empathy.
Collaborate directly with the product team to tailor the AI's tone and responses for specific industries, particularly for BFSI/Lending/Insurance and customer support scenarios.
Develop and maintain a library of high-performing prompt templates that can be deployed for various business use cases.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves):
Native-level fluency in either Telugu or Kannada (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory. Fluency in both languages is a major plus. You must possess an intuitive, deep understanding of colloquialisms, dialects, cultural context, and social etiquette in both languages.
Demonstrable experience in prompt engineering for Large Language Models (LLMs). Experience with OpenAI (GPT series) or Google (Gemini) models is highly preferred.
A strong analytical and creative mindset with a genuine passion for language, communication, and technology.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently on a core product feature.
Please Note: No coding knowledge is required. Your expertise in language and prompt design is what we value most.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Bonus Points):
Prior experience working in a call center or another customer-facing role where you interacted with customers in Telugu or Kannada.
Familiarity with the terminology and common scenarios in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) or lending sectors in a regional context.
Experience with conversational AI or voice bot platforms (knowledge of Pipecat is a significant plus).
