Bike-Friendly Commuter Highway Design

I’m moving forward with a new highway that will serve primarily daily commuting traffic and I need a skilled civil / transportation engineer to turn the concept into a build-ready plan. The corridor must flow smoothly for vehicles yet integrate full-length bike lanes on both sides so cyclists can travel safely without interrupting peak-hour volumes.

Here’s what I expect:

1. Conceptual alignment studies that prove the route’s feasibility, traffic capacity and safety standards.
2. Preliminary and final geometric design, including cross-sections showing the dedicated bike lanes, drainage and right-of-way limits.
3. Pavement, signage and striping plans that prioritise commuter efficiency and cyclist protection.
4. Phased construction staging, cost estimates and a high-level schedule suitable for municipal review.
5. Complete CAD files (Civil 3D or similar), PDF plan set and a brief design report summarising assumptions, calculations and compliance with local highway guidelines.

I’m open to your professional suggestions—sound barriers or pedestrian crossings may become future add-ons, but the immediate focus is a commuter-oriented highway with integrated bike lanes delivered on a realistic timetable.
