Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Consultant Project Developer to lead the modelling and development of an afforestation and reforestation (ARR) carbon removal project. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance and support in the design, implementation, optimization and certification of the ARR project under VERRA standard, utilizing advanced modelling techniques to enhance project outcomes and carbon sequestration efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Consultancy: Offer expert consultancy services for the development and implementation of ARR carbon removal projects, ensuring best practices and innovative approaches are applied.
• Modelling and Simulation: Develop and apply advanced modelling tools and techniques to simulate ARR processes, assess project feasibility, and optimize carbon sequestration.
• Project Design: Assist in designing project plans, including site selection, species composition, planting strategies, and long-term maintenance plans.
• Data Analysis: Collect, manage, and analyze data related to tree growth, soil quality and carbon sequestration rates to inform project decisions and enhance model accuracy.
• Certification: Guidance and support for the certification of the project under VERRA standard.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental regulations and carbon market standards.
• Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity-building support to project teams for implementation of the ARR project.
