Verify Hydropower Stilling Basin Calculations -- 2

I am part of the owner’s project-management team on a 9.5 MW run-of-river development. Our EPC contractor has had to revise the stilling basin due to some over excavation. As such they have had to recalculate the minimum dimensions of the stilling basin - and they have provided the formulas used to confirm the new dimensions. They have provided the main results from those calculations (min basin depth & length) however they have not shown the actual calculations. Before we sign-off I need an independent, professional check to confirm their results.
You will receive the salient features of the project, full stilling-basin layout, flow-rate and discharge data, the contractor’s calculation methodology, and the proposed new dimensions.
Please replicate the calculations, and confirm the contractors new dimensions. If & where relevant, you may suggest corrective sizing or configuration notes.
Deliverable: a concise memo or spreadsheet showing input data, equations or model settings, step-by-step results, and a short written conclusion confirming whether the contractor’s design is acceptable or needs adjustment. I expect the task to take no more than two to three hours for someone already familiar with hydropower stilling basins. Accuracy and clarity are the key success criteria; no extended report formatting is necessary.
