URGENT: Versatile VA/Project Manager — 20+ hrs/week | Long-term Contract
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
I'm looking for one sharp, organised individual (no agencies) to be my right hand across 8–12 active projects. You'll oversee freelancer, chase results, and - critically - always be helping us hire great people.
What you'll actually do:
1. Always Be Hiring.
You'll be posting roles on Freelancer, shortlisting, interviewing, and finding dedicated people, particularly marketers with automation chops and engineers who ship. Recruitment isn't a side task here. It's a core function.
2. Run projects. Chase people. Demand excellence.
You'll oversee 8–12 projects, each with 1–2 team members (mostly marketers and supporting engineers). You run the meetings, track progress, report to me, and hold people accountable. "On track" isn't good enough, you push for above and beyond.
3. Stay dangerously organised.
Spreadsheets, Trello, automations, whatever it takes. You maintain the system that keeps everything visible and nothing slipping. If you don't already have a personal organisation system you swear by, this isn't the role for you.
4. Be comfortable in technical waters.
You may not be building Shopify stores or writing code yourself, but you need to understand enough to direct someone who is. Vibe coding, WooCommerce, marketing automations, technical troubleshooting — you can research, ask the right questions, and keep technical projects moving without hand-holding.
5. Work closely with me.
This is a tight working relationship. You'll have direct access to me and autonomy to make calls, but I expect proactive communication, not silence.
Requirements:
Proven project/product management experience across multiple concurrent projects
Recruitment experience, you've hired and managed remote contractors before
Highly organised with real systems (not just "I'm organised" in your bio)
Comfortable with technical topics: Shopify, WooCommerce, marketing automation platforms, AI tools, basic engineering concepts
Excellent English communication, written and spoken, not AI-generated
Ideally based in Indonesia / SEA (similar timezone to AEST)
Looking for long-term work, not juggling ten other clients
Contract structure:
1. 3-month probation period
2. Then 12-month contract at a higher hourly rate + net profit share
3. 20+ hours per week
Hiring process:
1. Brief chat with some direct questions
2. Video interview - non-negotiable
3. Small paid test task
