Steel Phase Schedule Acceleration Plan

I have a high-level, 18-month master schedule in place for a mixed-use building, but the structural steel framing and concrete slab phase (Months 4–9) is the linchpin. My top priority is speed of construction without compromising coordination or downstream trades. I need a Primavera P6 or MS Project specialist who can dive into this segment, pressure-test the critical path, and squeeze every feasible day out of the timeline.
Key objectives
• Build a detailed, resource-loaded CPM schedule for the steel and slab works, fully aligned with the master programme.
• Identify float, near-critical activities, and hand-off points to façade and MEP teams so delays never snowball.
• Integrate 3-week look-ahead templates that our site supervisors can update daily in Procore.
• Flag clashes or sequencing risks based on the existing Revit model—no need to remodel, just leverage the BIM data already produced.
• Generate clear what-if scenarios (e.g., double-shifting, prefabrication sequencing) to demonstrate potential time gains and associated cost or manpower impacts.
Deliverables
1. Native P6 (.xer) or MS Project (.mpp) file with activity codes, calendars, and resource assignments.
2. Narrative report summarizing critical path, acceleration opportunities, and assumptions.
3. PDF Gantt and tabular reports suitable for client circulation.
4. Template for weekly progress updates that links seamlessly with Procore exports.
Acceptance criteria
• Baseline must show zero negative float and meet contractual milestones.
• Acceleration options should achieve a minimum 10 % schedule reduction or present substantiated reasons if not feasible.
• All logic ties will be reviewed in a live screen-sharing session before final sign-off.
