Small Francis Turbine Dam

Job ID: 40502791

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I am moving ahead with a new hydro-electric installation and need an end-to-end partner to design and build a small-scale (up to 10 MW) dam that will run on a Francis turbine. The site has a reliable year-round flow and preliminary topographic data, but I require full professional support—from refining the hydrology through to grid-tie commissioning.

Key areas of focus
• Feasibility refinement: confirm head, flow, and output projections, then translate them into an optimised Francis-turbine layout.
• Detailed civil and mechanical design: spillway, intake, penstock sizing, powerhouse, control systems, and all structural drawings ready for permitting.
• Procurement and fabrication oversight: ensure turbine, generator, governor, and control gear meet the agreed specs and arrive on schedule.
• Construction supervision: quality assurance across concrete works, electromechanical installation, and safety compliance.
• Testing, commissioning, and training: deliver a fully operational plant connected to the local grid, complete with O&M manuals and on-site staff training.

Acceptance criteria
1. Signed-off detailed design package that satisfies local regulatory bodies.
2. Installed Francis turbine delivering the agreed nameplate output during performance tests.
3. As-built documentation, O&M manual, and one-year defect-liability support.

Please outline your relevant small hydro experience, proposed timeline, and any questions you have about site data so we can move straight into the next design milestone.
