Short-Term Rental Operations Assistant
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I run a portfolio of short-term rentals and need a reliable partner who can keep our behind-the-scenes work running smoothly day after day. Most guest‐facing communication already follows proven templates; your role is to make sure those messages actually reach guests on time, track any follow-ups, and flag anything that needs my direct attention. We currently route almost everything through social media, so you should be comfortable living inside DMs and comments as well as keeping an eye on inbox notifications.
Alongside daily messaging, you will coordinate the recurring tasks that hold the operation together: confirming that each unit is turned over on schedule, checking that supplies are restocked before a guest notices they are low, and updating the digital guidebooks when house-rules or appliance instructions change. Consistency matters more than sheer speed; I care that every box is ticked the same way, every time.
Because our guest community lives online, a working knowledge of the major platforms is essential. You will be posting updates, answering quick questions, and logging any maintenance issues that surface on:
• Facebook
• Instagram
• Twitter
If you already use smart-home dashboards, property-management software, or shared Kanban boards, tell me about it—anything that helps you monitor multiple deadlines at once will fit right in here.
To start, we will agree on a simple checklist for each day of the week and meet briefly once a week to refine the workflow. Long term, I’m looking for someone who can spot patterns, tighten processes, and document improvements so we both gain time back.
Sound like your wheelhouse? Let me know why structured, process-driven work appeals to you and share an example of a system you’ve successfully maintained.
