I am seeking a seasoned Project Controls Specialist to oversee cost control and schedule management within the construction industry. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around:

- Cost Control: Monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts to ensure cost efficiency.
- Schedule Management: Developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions to stay on track.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 is a must, as this will be our primary tool for project scheduling and cost tracking. Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable, as understanding of industry-specific challenges and practices will be key to your success in this role. Your ability to manage costs and schedules effectively will be critical in driving project success.

SECTION I – GENERAL SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
1.Thorough knowledge of project control concepts, processes and procedures including project cost control and reporting, project scheduling, project performance reporting, development of project work breakdown structures and reporting on project variances from approved plan.
2.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively, utilizing limitedresources to achieve complex goals.
3.Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring costs, work, and contractor performance.
4.Demonstrated customer service, decision-making, problem solving, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
5.Demonstrated knowledge of capital planning and assessment, cost-benefit analysis, planning and evaluation, and risk management protocols.
6.Proven skills at effective communication both at the interpersonal and group level.
7.Proven ability to work effectively within groups and to complete assigned tasks independently.
SECTION II – GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1.Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering, accounting, economic or business administration discipline or a Project Management Professional certification along with a technical degree.
2.Minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience around project control.
3.Minimum of 2 years of experience at Primavera (P6)4.Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products, Primavera (Oracle’s Project Management software) and ability to become competent with Port Authority software and reporting systems.
