Residential Build Inspection & Management
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m moving from early concepts into full planning for a new residential build and need an experienced civil engineer to guide the process from the ground up. Although the architectural drawings are still being refined, I want independent, professional eyes on the site itself and a steady hand managing the project as it progresses.
Your first responsibility will be a thorough site inspection—verifying soil conditions, access, drainage, and any red-flag issues that could affect foundations or utilities. Clear, timely reports (PDF is fine) outlining findings, photos, and recommended actions are essential; accuracy now will save us costly redesigns later.
Once we break ground, I’d like you to step into a project-management role: coordinating with architects, contractors, and local authorities, keeping the works schedule realistic, and ensuring compliance with local residential codes. Regular progress updates, risk tracking, and prompt resolution of on-site issues are key. Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software is helpful for quick plan adjustments, but your organisational skills and practical field experience will matter most.
Deliverables I expect:
• Initial site-inspection report with actionable recommendations
• Updated project timeline and milestone schedule
• Ongoing fortnightly progress summaries until hand-over
If your communication is clear and your site assessments are thorough, we’ll be a great fit as the build moves from plans to reality.
