Project-Specific Transportation Plan Development
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I am looking for a civil engineer with strong transportation-planning experience to create a project-specific plan for an upcoming development. The focus is on practical, actionable recommendations that keep traffic flowing safely and meet local regulations.
What I will provide:
• Site location, preliminary layout, and any existing traffic counts I have on file
• Relevant municipal design manuals and submission requirements
What I need from you:
• A concise traffic impact assessment tailored to the site’s size and land use
• Design recommendations for access points, internal circulation, loading zones, and parking arrangement
• Mitigation measures for peak-hour congestion, pedestrian safety, and public-transport integration where applicable
• CAD or PDF sketches that illustrate proposed changes clearly enough for my architect and the local review board
• A brief memo outlining assumptions, calculations, and references so officials can follow your logic
Preferred skills:
Civil engineering background with a focus on transportation planning, familiarity with local (or comparable) roadway standards, and proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Synchro, or similar traffic-analysis software.
Timing:
I’d like an initial draft within two weeks of kickoff, with one revision cycle included to address reviewer comments.
If this scope matches your expertise, please let me know your approach, key milestones, and any information you’ll need up front to get started.
