Project Manager - Video Game Studio -
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
Project Manager (Indie Horror / Unreal Engine)
We are looking for a decisive Project Manager to lead the final 40% of development for our PC based, FPS, 3D co-op multiplayer horror title. Built in Unreal Engine, the game is well past the initial teething stage; we now need an expert to streamline our path to a Steam / Epic - MVP launch.
The Role
Your primary goal is to transform our creative momentum into a disciplined release schedule. You will act as the bridge between art, tech, and production.
Key Responsibilities
Production Pipeline: Facilitate weekly (daily if necessary at critical times) coordination across 2D/3D, Animation, programmer/s and other players.
Milestone Ownership: Translate high-level goals into actionable sprints; proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks.
Performance Reporting: Conduct weekly follow-ups and provide progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting execution gaps or delays.
Launch Readiness: Oversee the QA cycle and manage the backend requirements for a successful Steam release.
Ideal Profile
Trello/JIRA Expert: You don’t just use these tools; you optimize them.
Unreal Savvy: You understand the specific workflows of a 3D FPS (blueprints, assets, packaging).
The "Closer" Mentality: Experience taking indie games through the finish line (Steam/Epic Store).
Communication: Ability to balance firm deadline management with a collaborative indie studio culture.
As a small Indie Canadian studio on our first venture, this MVP release by year end, is critical for our next steps into 2027. Open to all international applicants, though Canada or Ontario based applicants may be preferred but not essential. Project period can be divided into milestones by mutual discussions.
Please provide a portfolio highlighting relevant experience with your fees.
