Project Manager Needed
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are launching a strategic website redesign and development project and need a skilled freelance Project Manager to guide it from planning to launch. This is a well-defined, 100-hour engagement where you will be the central point of coordination between our internal stakeholders and a remote development/design team. Your primary goal is to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage a detailed project plan, timeline (Gantt chart), and budget tracker for the 100-hour scope.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, designers, and developers (using tools like Slack, Teams, or email).
Run structured weekly stand-ups and milestone review meetings.
Identify, track, and proactively mitigate project risks and bottlenecks.
Manage project scope meticulously and manage change requests formally.
Ensure all deliverables (wireframes, designs, content, code) are reviewed and approved on schedule.
Provide clear, transparent weekly status reports on progress, budget hours, and next steps.
Scope of Work & Deliverables:
Initiation & Planning (Hours 1-20): Finalize project charter, detailed requirements doc, project plan, and communication protocol.
Execution & Monitoring (Hours 21-80): Active daily/weekly coordination, meeting facilitation, task tracking, risk management, and status reporting.
Closure (Hours 81-100): Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), manage the launch checklist, compile project closure report, and conduct a retrospective.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven Experience: 3+ years managing digital/website projects, with a portfolio or case studies.
Methodology: Strong understanding of both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional (Waterfall) methods. Ability to apply a hybrid approach.
Tool Proficiency: Must be expert in ClickUp, Asana, or Jira for task management, and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills. You must be a proactive communicator.
Organization: Superior time management and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification.
Experience managing projects for [Your Industry, e.g., e-commerce, SaaS, etc.].
Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS, CMS like WordPress).
Project Duration & Hours:
This is a fixed total of 100 billed hours.
We expect the project to span approximately 4-6 weeks, requiring an average commitment of 20-25 hours per week.
Hours must be logged and reported weekly via the Freelancer.com time tracker or agreed-upon method.
