Product Operations Manager
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Hello, we at Bored and Grazed are looking for a Product Operations Manager to join our team.
We are a snack food startup that is launching a savory baked snack, think wholewheat crackers. The recipes for our current three flavors were crafted by an amazing baker with a Michelin-star experience. The branding was created by a small but award-winning studio. And the Sales function will be led by Bored and Grazed’s founder.
Now we are looking for a Product Operations Manager to take the lead on the tasks below.
Product Operations Manager Tasks:
*Product: Improve product and packaging, based on feedback from customers collected by Sales.
*Production:Train the junior baker on the characteristics of our product, and coordinate with them the production of the first commercial samples.
*Tech: Improve the tools and techniques used by the junior baker, to optimize production of the commercial samples.
*Quality: Establish a system to track production quality of commercial samples.
*Competition: Benchmarking competitors along product characteristics, packaging, price, and estimated margins.
*Costs: Break down and track input costs.
*Scale-up: In due course, scale up our production by analyzing the benefits and costs of using contract manufacturer(s) vs. growing our own production capacity.
- Then lead the implementation of the chosen option.
- In case we choose contract manufacturer(s), identify the right ones for our product and work with them to continuously optimize quality & costs, plus produce new flavors.
*Suppliers: Identify, and monitor the quality of:
- suppliers of baking tools and raw materials
