I’m commissioning a cross-platform desktop application (Windows and macOS) that streamlines the entire design-to-build workflow for both residential and commercial projects. The core engine must use AI to read standard 2D drawings (PDF, DWG, or image) and instantly generate an accurate 3D model. Once the model appears, I need smooth real-time rendering plus the ability to swap materials, textures, and finishes on the fly so clients or site teams can visualise changes before commitment.

Beyond visualisation, the software has to perform quantity take-offs directly from the imported 2D plan, auto-populating cost tables and exporting to Excel or CSV. A built-in project-management layer is essential: interactive checklists, task assignment, Gantt-style scheduling, and progress tracking must sit beside the model view so information never leaves a single workspace. I also want an on-site operations module—think tablet-friendly field notes, photo capture tied to model elements, and offline sync for areas with poor reception.

I will supply links and demo logins for several existing products to clarify expectations and highlight the competitive edge we’re after.
