Mechanical Production Assembly Project Manager

Job ID: 40537787

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for an experienced mechanical project manager who can step straight into the production-and-assembly stage of a manufacturing program that is already designed and waiting to hit the shop floor. The work is ready to move; I need someone who can take charge immediately, establish a clear production schedule, coordinate suppliers, track parts, and keep the line running smoothly without delays.

Because timing is critical, the first priority is a rapid assessment of the current bill of materials, tooling readiness, and vendor commitments, followed by an actionable timeline (Gantt or similar) that everyone on the floor can follow. From there, I expect hands-on monitoring of daily output, quick resolution of bottlenecks, and transparent reporting so leadership always knows where the build stands.

Key deliverables
• A detailed, resource-loaded production plan released within the first 48 hours
• Daily or shift-based progress reports and risk logs
• A close-out summary on completion, capturing metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations

If you have a strong background in manufacturing project management, can work comfortably with common shop-floor tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or equivalent MRP/ERP systems), and are ready to start right away, I’d like to hear how you would hit the ground running and drive this build to completion.
