The Global Operations Localization team is looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Translation / Localization Project Manager (Freelance), who will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable translation/localization automation workflows in Crowdin to support a wide variety of localization tasks across multiple stakeholders and business units.

Note: This is primarily a workflow & project infrastructure role, not a linguistic/translation role.

Goal: Map stakeholder needs per translation/localization project type - Build & optimize translation/localization project automation workflows in Crowdin in a timely and reliable manner to enable efficient, scalable and high-quality localization execution across all language editions and internal stakeholders.

Areas of responsibility:
- Gather and map stakeholder needs and translate them into scalable Crowdin workflow designs
- Own the setup and optimization of localization workflows and pipelines within Crowdin
- Build and maintain automation rules, integrations, and triggers to reduce manual work and shorten turnaround time
- Support ongoing localization operations by ensuring projects, tasks, and workflows run smoothly and transparently
- Manage communication and alignment across a fast-paced international environment
- Monitor workflow performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvements
- Proactively flag and communicate blockers, technical limitations, and process gaps to relevant stakeholders

Example tasks:
- Crowdin project setup and configuration (workflow steps, roles, permissions)
- Automation design (e.g., auto-assignment, pre-translation flows, approvals, notifications)
- Building structured workflows for different use cases (product UI, marketing content, articles, metadata, etc.)
- Defining tagging / content segmentation logic (branches, labels, filters, file structures)
- Integration setup / maintenance between Crowdin and supporting tools (Figma, Github, JIRA / Slack, etc.)
- Supporting stakeholders with best practices for scalable localization delivery
- Creating and optimizing AI prompts to support translation QA, terminology consistency, structured rewrites, etc.
- Reporting workflow gaps and recommending improvements (process + configuration + automation)

Work time:
Mon-Fri: 08:00–16:00 CET (Central European Time - GMT +1)*
Working hours are somewhat flexible and depend on the actual tasks at hand

Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in translation/localization project management (or similar localization operations roles)
- Hands-on Crowdin experience (workflow setup and project configuration)
- Ability to build structured workflows based on stakeholder requirements (process mapping mindset)
- Strong understanding of localization lifecycle concepts (content types, approvals, LQA, versions, handoffs)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with high ownership
- Excellent written communication in English
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to use AI tools effectively for efficiency and quality optimization (prompting mindset + experimentation)
- Experience integrating Crowdin into a broader workflow ecosystem (e.g., Slack/JIRA notifications, automations)
- Knowledge of localization automation principles (rules-based workflows, reducing human touchpoints)
- Experience working with product localization, UI string management and structured content
- Familiarity with translation memories, glossary/term bases, and QA configurations
- Experience working with multi-language platforms with many active locales and continuous releases
