Jira Optimization and Reporting Enhancement

The Jira Cloud project has been running for several years and is actively used by the development team for their day-to-day work. While dashboards already exist, they currently do not provide a clear or reliable overview of the project status. Over time, the setup has become cluttered and difficult to navigate, making it difficult to gain meaningful insights.
With the support of the freelancer, the objective is to regain a clear and structured overview of the project, clean up and streamline the existing Jira configuration, and establish a solid reporting and dashboarding foundation. The freelancer will not work directly in Jira but will guide me step by step during a screen-sharing session while I perform all changes myself. Jira Structures are available and can be leveraged as part of the solution.
During a joint screen-sharing session, you will review the existing project together with me and instruct me directly in my system on how to set up a central reporting means consisting of Burnup, Sprint, Velocity, and other meaningfull reports. The focus is on transparently visualizing key metrics such as sprint completion, overall progress, and the number of open tickets, designing meaningful dashboards, and configuring appropriate filters, widgets, and JQL queries. Particular attention will be paid to board configurations (swimlanes, columns, quick filters) that provide the most value in a mixed Scrum/Kanban environment.
Acceptance criteria
• Live walkthrough of the existing project via screen sharing, with verbal guidance only
• Structured review and recommendations for cleaning up the current Jira setup to improve clarity and usability
• Step-by-step guidance for setting up a functional Burnup chart, including the underlying filters
• Concrete recommendations for new dashboards, reports, metrics, and board adjustments aligned with the team’s workflows
• Short follow-up summary (bullet points are sufficient) documenting all steps shown, enabling independent reproduction
