Hardware Engineering Team Manager Needed -- 2
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need an experienced hardware engineering leader who can take full charge of a group of more than 10 engineers. Your main responsibility will be managing, mentoring, and coordinating this team so they consistently hit quality, schedule, and cost targets across the full hardware development life-cycle.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Set clear technical direction and priorities for the group.
• Align schedules and resources with cross-functional partners in firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing.
• Review design milestones, run structured design reviews, and sign off on release gates.
• Coach individual contributors, handle performance feedback, and guide professional growth.
• Report progress and risk to senior leadership, presenting concise data-driven updates.
I already have solid individual contributors; what’s missing is strong, people-centric leadership. If you have succeeded at managing a multi-disciplinary hardware team before—ideally using tools such as Altium, SolidWorks, Jira, and common PLM systems—you should feel right at home.
Acceptance criteria
• A 90-day action plan that outlines process improvements and staffing adjustments.
• Weekly status reports highlighting key metrics (schedule adherence, defect escape rate, cost variance).
• Documented coaching sessions for each engineer with agreed development goals.
I’m ready to move quickly once I find the right match, so please share relevant leadership examples and any metrics that demonstrate past team performance improvements.
