Title: Grants Researcher & Application Writer for Mamasag (Women’s Clothing Boutique)
Description:
Mamasag is a women’s clothing brand “made for baddies, all eyes on them.” We’re seeking a proactive grant specialist to research, shortlist, and apply to every relevant grant we qualify for—covering small business, fashion/retail, e-commerce, marketing, innovation, and women-led entrepreneurship opportunities (public, private, corporate programs, accelerators, pitch competitions, microgrants, and sponsorships).
Responsibilities:
Build a comprehensive grant pipeline: identify federal/state/city grants, corporate small-business programs, foundation grants, pitch competitions, and fashion/retail-specific opportunities.
Create an eligibility matrix (requirements, deadlines, award amounts, documentation needed).
Draft high-conversion applications: brand story, problem/solution, impact, budget, timeline, and metrics.
Tailor reusable core narratives (about page, impact statement, founder story, community benefit, DEI, marketing plan).
Prepare supporting docs checklist (EIN, LLC docs, W-9, sales metrics, social stats, media kit, budget, letters of support).
Submit applications on time and manage follow-ups, clarifications, and revisions.
Maintain a Google Sheets tracker with: program name/link, award amount, fit score, due date, status (researching/drafting/submitted/won/declined), notes, next actions.
Provide weekly reports: apps submitted, outcomes, upcoming deadlines, and next priorities.
Requirements:
Proven grant research + writing experience (portfolio or wins preferred).
Strong business writing and ability to tailor narratives to different funders.
Excellent organization; deadline-driven with clean documentation habits.
Familiarity with small-business grants and corporate programs (U.S.).
Comfortable collaborating in Google Drive/Docs/Sheets and using email professionally.
Goals & KPIs:
Add 30–60+ qualified grants to the pipeline in the first month.
Submit 8–15 tailored applications per week (depending on complexity).
Maintain 100% on-time submissions and clean status updates.
Compensation:
Hourly or fixed project; performance bonus for awards secured (optional—propose your structure).
Long-term opportunity if results are strong.
How to Apply:
Share 2–3 examples of grants you’ve won or strong applications you’ve written (redact sensitive info).
Briefly outline your research process and how you evaluate eligibility/fit.
Confirm your weekly capacity and proposed compensation.
Notes:
All brand assets, numbers, and documents are confidential.
You’ll receive our brand story, product links, social stats, and prior materials to accelerate drafting.
