Freelance Project Manager + Scrum Master (SaMD, AI, UK Controlled-Drug Workflows)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Freelance Project Manager + Scrum Master (SaMD, AI, UK Controlled-Drug Workflows)
We are hiring a certified Project Manager with strong Scrum Master credentials to lead delivery of an AI-enhanced Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) platform. The product spans three user groups - clinics, pharmacies, and patients - and must support UK controlled-drug workflows and regulated best practice.
Engagement and hours
Required working hours: You must be able to work in Indian business hours (IST alignment).
Week 1 onboarding: 20 hours to immerse in documentation, backlog, and regulatory artefacts
Ongoing: ~2 hours each business day for 6–9 months through discovery, MVP, and iterative releases
Initial focus: Clinic Portal (first sprint and early milestones)
Engagement model and team
We already have a delivery team in place: 8 people including a Lead Architect and Lead Engineer, plus UI/UX, front-end, back-end, and full-stack capability. This role is the execution and communications bridge between the CEO (primary decision-maker and feedback owner), the board and stakeholders, and the delivery team - ensuring priorities, decisions, and feedback are translated into a clean, actionable backlog and predictable sprint outcomes without constant direct escalation.
Responsibilities
Run Scrum delivery: sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retros, release cadence
Own backlog hygiene in ClickUp: definitions of ready/done, acceptance criteria, dependencies
Maintain delivery governance: risk register, RAID, decision log, change control where needed
Stakeholder reporting: progress, blockers, risks, metrics, next-sprint goals
Keep delivery aligned with SaMD guidance, ISO 13485 documentation needs, and GxP-grade discipline
Required experience and certifications
Shipped AI-enabled software from concept to release (not prototypes only)
Led delivery intersecting clinical workflows and regulated constraints
PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent)
Scrum Master certification (PSM, CSM, SAFe SM, or equivalent)
Application requirements
Include:
2–4 AI-enhanced systems you led from concept to release (your role, what shipped)
Your certifications
The frameworks/metrics you used to stay on track (e.g., cycle time, throughput, velocity trends, defect escape rate, forecast accuracy)
