We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Engineering Production Scheduler to join our team in Bibra Lake, WA on a Freelance basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing detailed production schedules to ensure the efficient and timely completion of projects. This role requires a good understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage detailed production schedules for engineering projects.
• Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to align production activities with overall project goals.
• Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and risks; and develop solutions to optimise production processes.
• Utilise advanced planning tools in Microsoft Project.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including production schedules, cost, labour and progress reports.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Preferably a tertiary technical qualification in the mechanical discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing operations, project management or engineering environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in production scheduling in Microsoft Project.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with various departments and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and monitoring production schedules and documentation.
• Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes, preferably including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies which would be an advantage.
• Additional Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) would be advantageous.
