Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m adding a new 8-ft rear deck to my home in Weston, FL and need a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer to take my initial draft drawings (supplied as PDFs) through to permit-ready status.
What I’m looking for is straightforward: review the structural layout, make any adjustments required for full Florida Building Code compliance, and provide a signed and sealed PE stamp on the final drawings so I can submit them to the City of Weston for permitting.
Deliverables
• Reviewed structural deck plans, updated as necessary
• Digital PE-stamped drawings in PDF (and CAD if you edit directly)
• Brief calculation or compliance memo if the permitting office requests it
Everything is still at the early-draft stage, so I welcome practical suggestions on joist sizing, footing details, connectors, or any other items that will streamline approval. Once stamped, I’ll handle the permit submission and construction; I only need engineering review and certification.
