Expert Needed for Watershed Management Project
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
This project gives students the opportunity to consolidate knowledge around open-channel hydraulics
and hydrology and the ability to apply hydraulics and hydrological methods to engineering applications
in an integrated way. This project introduces students to use hydrological data from “Australian
Government Bureau of Meteorology” and “Australian Rainfall and Runoff” as well as using HEC River
Analysis System (HEC-RAS) for water engineering design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and propose effective strategies for managing water resources at a municipal or large-scale.
- Create comprehensive plans for the design and implementation of these strategies.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in hydraulic and hydrologic project design, specifically in water resource management.
- Prior work with municipal or large-scale watershed management is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the principles of hydraulics and hydrology.
- Excellent project management skills.
