We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator who can teach and guide us through the process of migrating a Jira instance at an enterprise level. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise through screenshare sessions, walking us step-by-step through the entire migration process, from planning to execution, including troubleshooting and post-migration support.

Responsibilities:
Jira Migration Walkthrough via Screenshare:
Conduct live, hands-on training via screenshare to guide us through the Jira migration process (e.g., from Jira Server to Cloud or Cloud-to-Cloud).
Show us how to configure Jira instances, workflows, and schemes post-migration.
Demonstrate how to handle and resolve common challenges during a migration (data integrity issues, user permissions, etc.).
Training on Key Migration Areas:
Provide step-by-step instructions for setting up custom workflows, permissions, issue types, and schemes in the new environment.
Explain best practices for migrating Jira data, projects, and configurations.
Showcase how to migrate Jira Service Management projects and other specialized Jira tools.
Train on how to ensure minimal downtime during migration and handle large volumes of data.
Troubleshooting and Optimization:
Teach how to diagnose and troubleshoot common issues that arise during migration.
Walk us through optimizing the new Jira instance after migration for performance, scalability, and usability.
Post-Migration Support:
Offer tips and strategies on managing the new Jira instance, especially for large teams or enterprise-scale organizations.
Provide guidance on ongoing monitoring and adjustments to ensure a smooth transition.
Required Skills:
Proven experience with enterprise-level Jira migrations (especially server-to-cloud or cloud-to-cloud).
Expertise in Jira administration and configuration (e.g., workflows, permissions, issue types, schemes, etc.).
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, understandable way.
Strong troubleshooting skills to handle migration-related issues.
Experience with Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Atlassian products.
Familiarity with Jira APIs and automation for handling large-scale migrations.
A track record of successfully conducting remote training and support via screenshare.
Preferred Skills:
Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator.
Previous experience working with enterprise-scale Jira instances.
Familiarity with Jira migration tools (e.g., Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, third-party migration tools).
Background in database management and using SQL for troubleshooting Jira migrations.
