Account & Social Media Assistant
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a small software development team in Charlotte and I’m juggling too many non-technical duties: keeping our project management boards tidy, handling three company inboxes, posting quick updates to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and blocking out time on the calendar for client calls. I’m looking for someone dependable who can step in and keep these day-to-day tasks moving smoothly so the engineers can stay focused on code.
Here’s what the role looks like in practice:
• Monitor our project management tool (we currently use Trello) and nudge teammates when cards stall or deadlines approach.
• Draft or schedule short social posts and respond to simple comments or DMs on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, following brand guidelines I’ll provide.
• Sort incoming email into folders, flag anything that needs my attention, and send polite acknowledgements when appropriate.
• Coordinate meeting times across time zones, add video links, and update any last-minute changes so everyone has the right invite.
No advanced tech skills are required; you just need solid written English, common-sense prioritisation, and a habit of double-checking details. We’ll start with a brief onboarding call, set up shared access to the tools, and agree on a communication rhythm (Slack or email—your choice). If you prefer a smart, lightweight workflow and can commit to daily touch-points, I’d love to hear how you’d keep us organised.
