We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer (AML/CFT) to oversee compliance functions in the Curaçao gaming sector. This role requires expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations, specifically within Curaçao's legal framework.
Key Responsibilities:
AML Program Management: Develop, implement, and update AML/CFT compliance programs.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to Curaçao’s AML laws, including NOIS and NORUT regulations.
Transaction Analysis & Reporting: Identify unusual transactions and file reports accordingly.
Training & Awareness: Conduct staff training on AML/CFT compliance and reporting obligations.
Risk Management: Investigate suspicious activities and recommend appropriate actions.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed on local and international compliance developments.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in AML/CFT compliance with a bachelor’s degree or AML certification, OR
Minimum 4 years in AML/CFT compliance without a degree.
Certifications (any of the following):
CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
AMLFC (AML Foundation & Compliance Institute)
Other equivalent certifications (subject to approval by Curaçao's GCB).
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Curaçao’s NOIS and NORUT laws, as well as EU and OFAC sanctions lists.
Continuing Education: Minimum 10 hours annually in AML/CFT-related training.
Independence: The role cannot be combined with operational roles such as CEO, CFO, or Casino Manager.
Additional Requirements for Outsourced Candidates:
A CV of the compliance manager overseeing the function.
Ability to handle up to 10 operators, ensuring full compliance with all duties.
Must be independent of internal audit functions.
