Emscripten FFmpeg Compilation for Web Integration
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I'm looking for an expert who can use Emscripten to compile FFmpeg into JavaScript. The primary objective is to seamlessly integrate FFmpeg into my website for video processing tasks, specifically format conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use Emscripten to compile FFmpeg into JavaScript
- Enable most common video conversion formats (x264 libavcodec/bsf/aac_adtstoasc)
- Enable most common ffmpeg protocols (file, http, https, tcp, tls, crypto)
Ideal Skills:
- Extensive experience with compiling and Emscripten
- Proficiency in FFmpeg
Once the work is finished I would like to receive the ffmpeg.js file (I expect the file to be over 30Mb) and I would also like to have the list of steps to repeat the compilation independently. I'm not interested in node/nodejs/npm/wasm/WebAssembly, I'm not interested in anything that is also server side, I'm only interested in the ffmpeg.js file to be able to work completely client side. You can find an already compiled (outdated) version of ffmpeg.js with limited capabilities at https://github.com/bgrins/videoconverter.js
You can start from the Emscripten tutorial:
https://emscripten.org/docs/getting_started/Tutorial.html
Once you have the file, if you are not able to verify the correct functioning of the file on Chrome browser, I can verify it, I am available to do some tests if different work steps are needed.
