E-Commerce Product Viability Assistant

Job ID: 39835546

Budget: $8 – $15 AUD

I run a small but fast-moving physical-goods business online and need another pair of hands that can think strategically as well as execute. Day to day I will lean on you for three core areas:

• Product viability analysis – I’ll share sales numbers, cost sheets, and market snapshots in Google Sheets/Excel. You break down margin, demand trends, competition, and give me a clear “keep, improve, or drop” recommendation for each SKU, backed by concise notes.

• Product research & sourcing – When an item looks weak, you dig in with tools like Jungle Scout, Helium10, Google Trends, and supplier platforms such as Alibaba or ThomasNet to suggest stronger alternatives. I’m looking for actionable product briefs that include estimated landed cost, target retail, unique selling angle, and at least one vetted supplier contact.

• General admin support – Anything from updating listings in Shopify/Amazon, following up with suppliers, to basic inbox triage when I’m buried.

Because everything we sell is physical and routed through e-commerce channels, prior experience in that arena is important to me. If you already understand FBA fees, shipping terms, and keyword-driven product positioning, you’ll ramp up quickly.

Deliverables I expect on a weekly basis:
1. Viability scorecard for current catalog with clear action flags.
2. Shortlist of 3–5 new product opportunities (when required) with sourcing details.
3. A running task log showing completed admin items and any blockers.

Collaboration happens via shared Google Drive folders; meetings are light—mostly async check-ins unless a deeper dive is needed. I value initiative, clear communication, and tidy data. If this sounds like a good fit, tell me about one product decision you drove in a previous e-commerce role and the outcome it produced.
