Organic Pet Shampoo Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want to bring an all-natural veterinary shampoo to market—something gentle enough for routine bathing yet robust enough to leave a noticeable shine and healthy coat. The formula should as musch as organic possible; no synthetics, parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances, or colours. I am not looking for a medicated flea-and-tick wash, just a safe everyday cleanser that can be marketed as “normal/organic” for dogs with average or mildly sensitive skin.
What I need from you:
• A complete bench-scale formula (percentages and preferred suppliers) that meets organic certification standards in major markets.
• Clear manufacturing instructions, including pH targets, mixing order, preservation strategy, and viscosity control.
• Guidance on stability and microbial challenge testing so I can verify shelf life before scaling.
• Labelling and regulatory notes relevant to pet-care products in the U.S. (FDA guidelines) and, if possible, EU compliance.
• Suggestions for natural scent profiles that keep the formula hypoallergenic.
If you have previous experience formulating veterinary shampoo, please mention it and, where possible, share a sample COA or stability report from past work to speed up my due-diligence. Once the initial lab batch is proven stable, I will move forward with pilot and production runs, so ongoing consulting is an option.
