Epoxy Coating Formula Review

Job ID: 40161185

Budget: $1,000 – $2,500 USD

We are a Brazilian coatings manufacturer with established formulations for polyurethane, water- and solvent-based synthetic enamels, and—most critically—epoxy systems. Before expanding production, I need a fresh pair of eyes to validate the existing recipes, uncover hidden cost drivers, and suggest realistic tweaks that lift performance while keeping the bottom line in check.

The epoxy line is my top priority, yet insights that also touch our polyurethane and enamel products are welcome. A thorough review of raw-material choices (resins, curing agents, pigments, additives), mixing sequences, curing profiles, and HSE issues that affect scale-up in Brazil will be essential. I will share full formulation sheets, lab data, and current SOPs once we start; everything remains strictly confidential.

Deliverables
• A red-lined version of each original formula detailing calculated solids, VOC, cost per kilo and anticipated film properties.
• A set of improvement options ranked by impact on both quality and cost.
• Updated manufacturing instructions—temperatures, shear rates, hold times, filtration steps, and added in-process QC checkpoints—to ensure consistent shop-floor results.

When you reply, demonstrate your experience with industrial epoxy paints or related coatings work; that single factor will guide my selection. Portuguese fluency is a plus, though the final documents can be submitted in English.
