I need a functional custom bolt on turbofan fan wheel disc for my car's wheels
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for someone to create a customized bolt-on turbofan fan wheel disc for my car's wheels. The material of choice is carbon fiber, or a lightweight polymer, possibly aluminum if necessary. The car's wheels have not been determined yet, but as I am unsure the availability of designers for a project like this, I figured I'd post ahead of time and get some contacts. While I don't have a particular design in mind for the fan wheel disc, I can provide some guidelines, and have some examples of existing designs. The successful freelancer should have knowledge of aerodynamics, engineering and fabrication. The freelancer should also be familiar with prototyping and digital fabrication techniques.
My main goal is to ensure that the fan wheel disc is strong and durable enough to withstand the high speeds that the car will be travelling, as well as hard bumps and jostles. It needs to be aerodynamic, efficient and lightweight, and quantifiably channels air over the brakes. The ideal freelancer should have experience with blower or veined fans, as well as basic knowledge of car wheel bolt patterns and technology. They should also understand the importance of material safety at high rotational speeds.
I'm very open to creative ideas the freelancer may have as far as design and usability. I would like updates at each stage of development you feel are significant as an engineer, along with an open line of communication during the entire process. I'm looking for someone who is passionate about their work and dedicated to making sure the final product meets my standards and expectations. Some interest in this topic as well as 80's rally turbofan wheel designs wouldn't hurt either.
