Design Brief: Showawa – Portable Outdoor Shower Head
Project Name: Showawa – Mountable Hose-Connected Outdoor Shower System
Project Type: Concept-to-Prototype Product Design
Client: Mark Johnson

Objective:
Design a functional and aesthetically clean prototype for a mountable outdoor shower head that connects to a garden hose and can be secured in multiple ways—for both permanent and portable use.

Product Summary:
Showawa is a weather-resistant shower head system designed for outdoor use in camping, off-road, and home environments. It should be:

Durable

Easy to install

Compact and transportable

Compatible with standard garden hoses

Mounting Features:
The system must support two mounting options:

Permanent Mounting – Mounting holes for screw installation into flat surfaces (e.g., fences, brick walls).

Temporary Mounting – A silicone rubber strap mechanism that wraps securely around round or irregular surfaces (e.g., car roof racks, poles, trees).

Design Requirements:
Standard garden hose connector (common Australian fitting preferred)

Shower head should provide a practical spray pattern (wide, rinse-style)

Must be weather-resistant (UV, rain, dust)

Lightweight but durable (outdoor-use materials like UV-stable plastic, aluminum, stainless steel)

Easy for a single person to mount and unmount

Mounting strap must be adjustable and secure (think bike light or GoPro-style mounts)

Ideally modular for disassembly or flat-packing

Clean, modern outdoor aesthetic

Deliverables:
3D CAD files (STL and STEP format)
