Who are we?
We are a Melbourne based start up producing a simple, though aesthetically on-point range of functional gear for bike riders using locally sourced, up-cycled material and local craftsmanship.
We are a small team with aspirations to grow. Currently we have a 6 item range of functional cycling clothing and accessories consisting of cycling caps, winter hats, neck buffs, musette bags, tote bags and tool wraps. All of which are made from up-cycled fabric.
The Opportunity
We are looking for someone with commercial sewing experience to sew hats and bags - fabric is supplied and pre-cut.
Prototypes and initial construction instruction to emulate (and perhaps refine) will be provided.
This will be a trial run of a few items for initial work, with the potential to lead to larger batch and ongoing work
A fair piecework price will be negotiated.
You will need
A suitable industrial sewing machine for heavy fabric (denim)
Some commercial sewing experience
Great communication skills
