Senior Product Designer (Mobile App) – Live Auctions & Social Commerce Platform

Description:
We are building a next-generation mobile-first marketplace that combines live auctions, social commerce, and a TikTok-style discovery feed.
This is NOT a basic UI design project. We are specifically looking for a highly experienced Product Designer who understands real-time systems, user behavior, and high-engagement platforms.

About the Product:
Multi-vendor marketplace (livestock, pets, and related products) Live auctions with real-time bidding (up to 1000 concurrent users) TikTok-style vertical feed (video + image-based discovery) Hybrid users (buyers, sellers, streamers) In-app chat, rewards system, and engagement features
Scope (Phase 1 – MVP):
Mobile-first UX/UI (iOS & Android) Live auction experience (core feature) Product listings, cart, and checkout Feed design (social + commerce) User onboarding (OTP-based) Vendor profiles and discovery Design system (scalable for Phase 2)
What We Are Looking For:
Strong Product Thinking (NOT just UI) Proven experience designing complex mobile apps Experience with real-time interfaces (live updates, auctions, trading, etc.) Ability to design high-engagement user flows Experience with scalable design systems Ability to handle edge cases (failed payments, live interruptions, etc.)
Nice to Have:
Experience in live commerce / auctions / streaming platforms Experience with fintech or high-interaction apps
Important Requirements:
You must share relevant case studies (not just visuals) You must explain your design thinking and decisions You must be comfortable working on complex UX flows You must be able to collaborate long-term
Do NOT apply if:
You only focus on visual UI without UX thinking You copy designs from Dribbble/Behance without system thinking
You have no experience with complex or real-time applications
Short Task (Required for Shortlisting): We will ask shortlisted candidates to create a simple wireframe for a Live Auction screen (low-fidelity is acceptable).
This is to evaluate your thinking, not visual polish.
Deliverables:
Full UX/UI design (Figma preferred) Design system (components, styles, tokens) Scalable structure for future features (Phase 2)
