Prototype reusable nappy for adult incontinence
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
Most reusable incontinence products are designed for daytime use and small leaks only. Having tested a variety of options I have a design and plan for a versatile product that will rival modern disposable incontinence products whilst not compromising on discretion, comfort and function. My only problem is that I have minimal experience with sewing etc. and don’t have the right equipment to get a proper pattern created that will allow an experienced person to make the product as well as creating the prototype for testing.
I am looking for someone who can commit my design to paper in the correct format and can advise me if there are any portions of the project that will require adjustment before creating a prototype, as well as going on to create the prototype for testing.
I have spent a significant amount of time researching and testing different fabrics and will be able to source and supply what is needed when the design is finalised. What I need is someone with the practical experience of dealing with different fabrics, so that they can advise where my design might need to be altered to create the product I am wanting to make. The right person will need to have their own sewing machine etc. as I cannot supply this. They must be able to work confidently; combining different kinds of fabric.
The project will finish once the prototype is completed, but if the product works well and is feasible to make at a reasonable cost to the consumer, then there is the potential to continue into small scale production.
Happy for someone to work remotely, but must be based in the UK.
