Technical Description for the iPhone 13 Pro Case
Frame:
Material:
Outer side: Aluminum (e.g., 6061 aluminum alloy).
Inner side: TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) with a hardness of Shore A 80-90.
Dimensions:
Overall height: 146.7 mm (iPhone 13 Pro height).
Overall length: 71.5 mm (iPhone 13 Pro width).
Overall thickness: xx mm (e.g., 10 mm, including TPU lining).
Frame height above the screen: 1-2 mm (depending on model).
Adhesion:
TPU is adhered to the inner side of the frame using industrial adhesives (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane adhesive, or cyanoacrylate).
Adhesive surface: Width of 2 mm around the inner side.
Manufacturing:
The frame is manufactured separately from the backplate.
Design Features:
The frame must extend 1-2 mm on the back to fit around and accommodate the backplate.
Speaker/Microphone/Charging port: Cutouts (e.g., 5 mm x 1 mm) at the appropriate locations to allow access.
Buttons: Power and volume buttons are integrated into the metal frame. For the mute switch, a cutout with dimensions of 5 mm x 3 mm is provided.
Screen Protection:
Raised edge: The frame extends 1-2 mm above the screen to protect it.
Backplate:
Layer Structure:
Felt layer: Thickness of 1 mm to protect the phone from scratches.
Neodymium magnet layer: Thin layer (e.g., 1 mm) placed around the edges of the backplate. Magnets should be strong enough to hold the backplate securely (e.g., N42 neodymium magnets).
TPU layer: Thickness of 2-3 mm, which holds the artwork and also provides shock absorption.
Design of Artwork:
The backplate includes historical artwork such as Van Gogh's "The Starry Night". The TPU backplate will feature a textured surface that makes the brush strokes tangible.
Interchangeability:
The backplates are interchangeable and can later be replaced with other artwork designs.
General Notes:
Weight and ergonomics: Ensure that the total weight of the case is not too high (ideally under xx g, e.g., 100 g) to maintain user comfort.
Manufacturing tolerances: Keep tolerances within ±0.5 mm for all dimensions to ensure a precise fit for the iPhone 13 Pro.
