Heavy-Duty 3.5m Tiller: Design and Fabrication
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Project Title:
Design a Heavy-Duty 3.5m Speed Tiller – Full Fabrication Drawings, DXF Files, FEA & Sensor Integration
Description:
I’m seeking a professional mechanical designer or agricultural machinery engineer to develop a fully detailed fabrication-ready design for a 3.5m trailed speed tiller, engineered specifically for tough Australian conditions.
This is a serious job — not a concept sketch. I need complete, certifiable plans suitable for fabrication by Australian workshops, with sensor integration and FEA analysis built into the design.
---
Deliverables Required
Full engineering drawings (metric only)
DXF files for laser/plasma cutting
Complete BOM (Bill of Materials) using Australian-spec steel and components
Cut lists with material specs and thicknesses
Weld symbols, hole sizes, tolerances, and fitment details throughout
Exploded assembly views or step-by-step build instructions
Design suited to 120–150hp tractors
Modular upgrade options (adjustable disc gangs, depth control, bearing options)
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for all critical stress/load points
Full FEA report with assumptions, stress visuals, and reinforcement guidance
Sensor mounting and routing points must be incorporated into the design for:
Tillage depth sensors
Load/strain sensors on frame or disc gangs
Speed sensor input (if required)
Soil condition or moisture sensor integration (provisions only if not supplying exact sensor model)
Drawings must show exact mounting points, cable routing channels, and protection for sensor wiring
Engineering design must be compatible with certification standards in Australia
All work must be original and assign full IP rights to me upon delivery
Must provide light post-delivery support for minor changes if needed during prototype phase
---
Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Must follow relevant Australian Standards for agricultural and structural fabrication
Must reference real-world parts available in Australia (disc blades, hubs, axles, bearings, etc.)
Must supply true fabrication-grade files — no guesswork or incomplete info
Must have proven experience in ag implement design or similar heavy machinery
Must be capable of adding sensor integration in a way that's realistic for end use and wiring
All drawings must be practical to build with standard fabrication tools in an Australian workshop
No reused, generic, or repackaged designs accepted
---
Project Outlook:
This tiller is the first in a series of heavy-duty implements being developed. If your work is high-quality and professional, there will be future opportunities (land planes, disc ploughs, mulchers, trailers, etc.).
---
Please apply only if you are confident you can complete this job to a professional standard. Include examples of past work, especially with sensor integration and FEA reporting if available.
