Engineer and Design a New Electrical Device with Technical Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking to have technical design made for a new product we are creating. In these drawings we are looking for specified tolerances, material specifications, parts, battery specifications, special notes, textures, fans and other information to documents the manufacturing expectations.
The product will be the size of a nest thermostat (photo attached)
~3”-3.5” in Diameter
~1.5”-2” Thickness
The product will be able to suction cup to a mirror and turned on to defrost/defog the mirror. This design will basically be a miniature hair dryer, I assume similar parts, heat coils, fans etc will be used. Except this product will be run off of a rechargeable battery.
You will be able to suction the product to the mirror, once you turn it on the coils will heat up, fan will start and it will blow how air 360 degrees around the product. Usually showing will fog up a mirror but we have found by using a hair dryer you can easily defog if held close for a few seconds. So we are trying to create a portable hair dryer that runs off Battery and can attach to a mirror. ( video of how a hair dryer works https://youtu.be/Z03i0b0Gd_s?t=31)
In these technical drawings i’ll need exact dimensions, batteries, wires, coils, etc required to build a prototype. Please make sure the battery size can support heating coils and blowing air hard enough onto the mirror.
Please provide some of your past projects that shows you are able to design and finish this project.
Some of our Notes:
-In a form factor similar in shape and size to that of a Nest thermostat I assume we can fit up to 200Watt of heat generation.
-Heat should be blowing around the sides of the device.
-Powering via a battery can be made, but maybe for 20-40W of heating, which maybe useless.
-Device must prevent the heat from damaging the battery.
-The key issue to solve with this device is essentially and quite simply the efficiency of extracting heat from an element.
-The second key issue is the safety of that element, something is hot is a safety risk. However, risk can be mitigated through design.
-Recharging may be achieved through common IC’s im not sure
